Utrecht is the fourth largest city of our country. Utrecht is a dynamic city; a junction where people with knowledge, talent, creativity and ambition meet. Utrecht will in the coming years grow to a city with 330,000 inhabitants. The Utrecht council implements matching programs and projects, such as: social coherence, diversity and integration, quality of life and accessibility, the renovation of the Station area, the post-war districts and the construction of Leidsche Rijn. All inhabitants, companies and organisations that are active in Utrecht, together make the city what it is: Seize the opportunities and get involved! That is what this council is all about.
Station Area Project Organisation within the municipal organisation
More than 4,500 staff members divided over fourteen departments and two project organisations work for and with the city council on the tasks the city is facing. The municipal organisation is managed by Mayor and Aldermen as well as by the concern management. The concern management is headed by the city manager. Alderman Harm Janssen is responsible for the Utrecht Station area. Together with the private partners, the Station Area Project Organisation works on the renovation of the Station area.
